Single Axis Fluxgate Magnetometers
All magnetic fields are "vector fields", having both a magnitude and a direction at any point.
Single-axis magnetometers measure the strength of a magnetic field in a single vector direction. They are therefore ideal for measuring the strength of a magnetic field in a specific direction. They are also suitable for checking remnant magnetic fields of magnetised or demagnetised components.
Bartington Instruments designs and manufacture a variety of single-axis magnetometers including discrete sensors with analog outputs, portable magnetometers with integral displays and systems with theodolite-mounted sensors for measuring declination and inclination at magnetic observatories.
Sensors are available to measure magnetic field strengths up to 5mT, with a resolution as high as 100pT and with bandwidths from DC to a few kHz.

Mag-01/Mag-01H Single-Axis Magnetometer
Fully self-contained magnetic field measuring instrument, consisting of a probe connected, via a cable, to a electronics unit with integral 4½ digit LCD display. The range of available probes allow measurement up to 2mT and down to 100pT, at DC to 10Hz.
Mag-01H Fluxgate Declinometer/Inclinometer
A precision instrument, consisting of a single-axis magnetometer with the probe mounted on a precision theodolite, used for measurements of the declination and inclination of the terrestrial magnetic field.
Mag-01MS Single-Axis Magnetic Field Sensor
A single-axis sensor with an analog voltage output and bandwidth of DC to 1kHz. Available in measuring ranges from ±70 to ±1000µT.
Mag592 Single-Axis Sensor with Low EM Radiation
A single-axis sensor with near-zero RF emissions. The sensor has analog voltage output, a bandwidth of DC to 2kHz and measuring ranges from ±70 to ±1000µT. A three-axis version, the Mag585, is also available.
