Mag613 Submersible Magnetometer Array
The Mag613 is an array of eight miniature three-axis fluxgate sensors. The sensors are connected to an electronics module which contains the power supply, driving circuitry and analogue multiplexer. The complete assembly is submersible to a depth of 500m.
The sensors have ranges of ±300μT and ±500μT, a bandwidth of 6Hz and a noise level below 0.5nTrms/√Hz at 1Hz. Each sensor is individually encapsulated in a miniature enclosure measuring 8 x 8 x 15mm, and connected by a 3m cable to the electronics unit. Their small volume enables the user to mount the sensors to achieve high spatial resolution, with crosstalk suppressed up to 3kHz. A test facility is also incorporated in the array.
